For the Variety x Chanel Dinner, held at Toronto French restaurant La Banane on Saturday evening September 7th, Allison kicked off TIFF with a bewitching combination of Marc Jacobs Fall 2019, Chanel Pre-Fall 2018 blazer, Chanel clutch and black J. Crew d’Orsay heels. Allison’s jewelry for this look included some of her personal pieces, as well as diamond studs by Gabriel & Co.

The world premiere of Bad Education was held at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto on Sunday evening September 8th, Allison wore a silk ruched gown from the Roksanda Resort 2020 collection, paired with a clashing yellow velvet Roger Vivier clutch and over sixty thousand dollars’ worth of Hearts on Fire diamond jewelry. On September 9, 2019 Allison sat for a photo shoot solo and alongside her Bad Education cast, and conducted additional interviews on the film, the night after the success of the premiere. Later, Allison appeared on stage for the ‘In Conversation with Allison Janney’ event at the TIFF Bell Lightbox Theater. For the morning press events, Allison wore a bright pink Roksanda fitted sheath dress and for the on-stage event, matching Lela Rose pieces printed with pups. Featuring black and white illustrations of varying dog breeds, Lela Rose calls their design on these silk pieces “Man’s Best Friend.” Is there anything more suited for a dog lover like Allison? This is also a terrific example of Allison being able to beautifully express her personality through funky fashion and pull it off like a charm.
