Santa Barbara Film Festival ‘Outstanding Performer of the Year’ Award

Allison and her ‘I, Tonya’ co-star Margot Robbie attended the 33rd Annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival on February 8, 2018 at the historic Arlington Theater in Santa Barbara, California. The two were previously announced to be the shared recipients of the film festival’s Outstanding Performer Award: 

THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER - January 19, 2018: For their respective performances as figure skater Tonya Harding and her no-nonsense mother, LaVona Golden, Robbie and Janney already have received Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice, Screen Actors Guild and BAFTA  nominations — Robbie in the lead actress category and Janney in the supporting actress category. Janney won the Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice awards, and Robbie won the Critics’ Choice prize for best actress in a comedy; the SAG and BAFTA awards are pending.

“Allison and Margot bring biting humor and an emotional resonance to their real-life characters in I, Tonya,” SBIFF executive director Roger Durling said in a statement. “We are proud to celebrate them and their incredible contributions to cinema.”
