The Oranges

The Oranges is a 2012 romantic comedy-drama directed by Julian Farino which in addition to Allison, stars Hugh Laurie, Leighton Meester, Catherine Keener, Oliver Platt, Alia Shawkat, and Adam Brody. The film chronicles how two families deal with a scandal involving a married man and his friends' younger daughter Nina Ostroff. Allison plays Cathy, Nina’s mother. Her husband is played by Oliver Platt in a lovely reunion from their time together on ‘The West Wing’.

Set in The Oranges area of Essex County, New Jersey, The Oranges was primarily filmed in New Rochelle, New York. It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 10, 2011, and was released in the United States on October 5, 2012.
