The Critics’ Choice Award

Allison attended the 23rd Critics’ Choice Awards on January 11, 2018 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Allison attended the ceremony straight from working on MOM at Warner Brothers; she got ready on the lot with the help of her show hair and makeup team. Styled by Tara Swennen, Allison wore a royal blue beaded design from Michael Cinco’s 2018 Resort Collection which was accessorize with sapphire + diamond Dena Kemp earrings and blue marbled ‘Lily’ clutch by Tyler Ellis.

Allison won the award over Mary J. Blige (“Mudbound”), Hong Chau (“Downsizing”), Tiffany Haddish (“Girls Trip”), Holly Hunter (“The Big Sick”), Laurie Metcalf (“Lady Bird”), and Octavia Spencer (“The Shape of Water”). In her acceptance speech, which you can watch at the external link below, Allison paid tribute to her fellow nominees and joked that the decision on the winner must have be been made “by height.”
